Louis Vuitton Le Jour Se Lève
Tumultuous times have had us all feeling a little under the weather lately. Allow Louis Vuitton to put a spring in your step. The latest member of the label’s fragrance pillar Les Parfums Louis Vuitton arrives with the sprightly Le Jour Se Lève, crisp as the morning dew, radiant with the tawny glow of daybreak.
Composed by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, author of the existing seven scents that comprise the collection, this chronicle tells a tale of optimism, smile spread as wide as open arms, ready to embrace the new day. The delicacy of this tonic does not come without body, for each spritz swells with the bracing zest of mandarin, chorded by both complexity and sweet innocence. It’s the latter Belletrud indulges with abandon, citrus bite enveloped by the softness of Jasmine Sambac from China, whose blossoms bring a perfumed piquancy to green tea. Tangy blackcurrant is whipped with the creamy vanilla notes of magnolia and apricot-laced osmanthus, before melodious musks herald the high spirits of sunrise. From the stout solid glass flacon, the balm bears an amber afterglow, speaking of the story that seasoned this fine scent. Just like all editions in the Les Parfums series, each bottle is built to last, in the hope they’ll be passed down, like an heirloom acquired from a treasured voyage. Available in 100 or 200ml, when empty, the capsule can be refilled – just take the vessel to a Louis Vuitton store to be filled via the fountain in a matter of seconds. And true to the spirit of adventure, an especially well-thought travel set ensures your favourite fragrance can safely venture wherever you go, equipped with a compact 7.5ml bottle, in addition to four recharges which intuitively clip on to the side of the spray canon by a magnet – or should that be magic? Either way, it’s positively spellbinding.
